Keeping your head up and maintaining vision is the key to be able to make good decisions.
We teach our players to be fully aware of the on court surroundings by expanding their vision and their understanding of what is happening around them during a game. The how, why and when concept is very crucial to a players court awareness. How things are happening, why they are happening and when they are happening.
Our coaches work to ensure that all players have good court awareness and are always ‘on’ during a match so that they can make quick decisions that keep the ball moving at a fast pace.
We try and get our players to have a greater understanding of what is happening on the whole court not just what spot they are meant to run to, greater understanding of how to react in each situation if they know how each situation has come about, greater understanding of what was around them giving them the best opportunity to make the right decision next time.
